Latex Membranes

We specify reinforced latex membranes for showers, bathrooms and laundries.  These are tough elastic and chemically resistant materials that are compatible with a wide range of tile adhesives. All our installations comply with BCA 2005.
Caution - All waterproof membranes are not equal. Many acrylic membranes will re-emulsify if subjected to continual ponding water.

The products that we use are all suitable for use in water features, so you can be confident that your shower will remain leak free for many years to come.

Priming

Correct priming is also of vital importance as it is the primer that is holding the membrane, adhesive and tiles onto the walls and floor. We have a range of primers including latex, acrylic and epoxy for different situations

Jigsaw shower bases

We also install ‘jigsaw’ shower bases.  These are preformed rigid urethane tiles with a built-in fall that are glued onto your sheet floor to form an instant shower base ready for waterproofing. There are types to suit both showers with central wastes and also those with channel grates and can be used in walk-in, set-down and hobbed installations. Jigsaw is superior to screeded shower bases for 3 reasons;

•  Consistent quality. 
•  Smaller setdowns required.
•  No curing required before membrane applied.
